Upcoming changes to The SandHill Newsletter
Updates to the newsletter and a few asks for the readership
Hi everyone,
The upcoming issue is a special one since we’re going to hit 200(!) since this newsletter started almost 4 years ago. This has been a fun nights-and-weekends project and I’m excited about its future – especially now that I’m back in Venture full-time.1
Over the next few months, I’ll be experimenting with several updates. Much of this is based on feedback from readers and friends over the years—a huge thank you to everyone that has shared ideas!
Here are some of the changes you can expect going forward, and a few places where I could use your help:
New section: The Treasure Trove – In addition to our weekly round-up, we’ll feature 1-2 historical posts each week that share timeless wisdom or interesting tidbits worth double clicking on.
Ask: If you have a suggestion on a favorite old post, framework, or writer, reply back to this email with them and I’ll add them to the queue (and credit you for the share)
New resource: The 1st Team – A long-time ask from several readers has been to leverage the collective wisdom of this community to find the best partners that can support startups and investors with common needs as they scale.
Ask: If you have an agency or freelancer that you have personally worked with and would vouch for, please complete this form. I’d especially love any recs on vendors that are great at helping with growth (across marketing, sales, SEO, etc) or design work (UI/UX or decks). I’ll share the full list once we have enough responses.
(Coming Soon!) Exclusive insights from top Investors & Operators – We now have over a thousand active tech investors as subscribers and a few thousand founders & operators. In an effort to share more insights on opportunities across markets, we’ll be working on a few posts to share insights from active investors and builders. If you are interested in contributing or collaborating, please reach out!
As always, if you ever have any feedback or ideas for improving the newsletter, email me anytime (just hit reply!).
I’ll re-evaluate some of these initiatives and test new ones based on reader feedback so do let me know what you think as we launch these.
